Welcome to Hoch Auto Detailing. By accessing or using our website [or services], you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read these terms carefully before using our services. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our website or services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Hoch Auto Detailing website and services (collectively, "Services"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time, and the changes will take effect when posted on this page. We encourage you to review this page regularly.

2. Use of Services

You agree to use our Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. You must not use our Services in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the website, or interfere with any other party’s use of the Services.

1. Pre-Existing Damage & Liability

Hoch Auto Detailing is not responsible for any pre-existing damage to a vehicle, including but not limited to scratches, dents, rock chips, paint defects, clear coat failure, oxidation, interior wear, or mechanical issues.

By booking a service, the customer acknowledges that detailing may expose or accentuate existing damage due to the nature of cleaning processes. Hoch Auto Detailing shall not be held liable for the worsening, visibility, or discovery of pre-existing conditions.

2. Scratch Removal – Expectations & Limitations

All exterior scratch reduction services are quoted and priced based on surface area, not the depth of the scratch. Depth varies and cannot be safely or accurately guaranteed without compromising paint integrity.

To preserve factory paint and clear coat, Hoch Auto Detailing uses safe, standardized polishing methods on all vehicles. As such:

  • Complete scratch removal is not guaranteed

  • Deeper scratches may show less improvement than lighter ones

  • Results vary depending on paint condition and scratch depth

Customer Acknowledgment:

“We can't guarantee complete removal of a scratch because we want to preserve your paint as much as possible. We perform the same amount of polishing on every scratch that is safe for every vehicle. Some scratches may improve more than others, but on average we see approximately 80% improvement per scratch.”

By proceeding with service, the customer agrees to these limitations and outcome expectations.

3. Discounts & Promotions

Only one discount, promotion, or special offer may be applied per booking. Discounts cannot be stacked, combined, or applied retroactively once a booking has been confirmed.

4. Service Access Requirements

By booking a service, the customer confirms that accessible electricity and water will be available at the service location at the scheduled appointment time. The customer also confirms there is adequate space surrounding the vehicle(s) to safely perform the service, as well as legal parking access for the detailer’s service vehicle.

At this time, Hoch Auto Detailing does not service apartment complexes, including shared parking structures or locations without guaranteed access to utilities.

5. Post-Service Inspection & Satisfaction Policy

To ensure customer satisfaction, the customer or a designated representative will be offered an inspection of the vehicle immediately upon completion of service. This inspection is the opportunity to request any touch-ups or minor corrections while the detailer is on site.

Once the detailer departs, the service is considered completed and accepted. Hoch Auto Detailing does not offer return visits for post-completion concerns that were not raised during the inspection.

6. Mold Disclosure Requirement

Customers booking an interior detail must accurately disclose the presence of mold.

  • If no mold is present, the customer must confirm this by checking the appropriate box during booking.

  • If mold is present or suspected, the customer must contact Hoch Auto Detailing directly to schedule service.

Mold-related services cannot be booked online and require a custom assessment.

7. Vehicle Preparation

For interior detailing services, customers are responsible for removing all bulk items and personal belongings from the vehicle prior to the appointment. Excess clutter may limit the quality of service or result in additional fees or rescheduling at the discretion of Hoch Auto Detailing.

8. Cancellation Policy

Appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled start time are subject to a cancellation fee. This fee helps cover reserved labor time and operational costs. Same-day cancellations and no-shows may incur higher fees.

9. Headliner Cleaning Limitation

At this time, Hoch Auto Detailing does not offer headliner cleaning services. Headliners are highly sensitive to moisture, and cleaning them can cause adhesive failure, sagging, staining, or permanent damage to the fabric and backing.

By booking an interior detail, the customer acknowledges and agrees that headliner areas will not be cleaned or treated, and Hoch Auto Detailing is not responsible for any pre-existing stains, odors, or damage to the headliner.

10. Excessive Pet Hair Policy

Interior detailing prices include normal to moderate pet hair removal. Vehicles with excessive dog or pet hair may require additional time, tools, and labor.

If excessive pet hair is present, an additional charge may apply, based on the pet hair photo scale shown on the booking page. By booking an interior service, the customer acknowledges and agrees to this assessment method and any applicable additional charges.

Failure to accurately select the correct pet hair level during booking may result in price adjustments

11. Stain Removal Limitations

Hoch Auto Detailing cannot guarantee complete removal of all stains. Stain removal results vary depending on factors such as material type, stain age, prior treatments, and underlying surface condition.

Our services are designed to safely improve the appearance of interior and exterior surfaces without causing damage. Some stains may lighten significantly, while others may only partially improve or remain unchanged. By booking a service, the customer acknowledges and accepts these limitations.

12. Service Duration & Time Limits

Service appointments are scheduled based on maximum time allocations, not guaranteed completion times.

  • Single service appointments (interior-only or exterior-only) are allotted up to 4 hours of labor.

  • Combined interior and exterior appointments are allotted up to 6 hours of labor.

13. Battery & Electrical System Disclaimer

Hoch Auto Detailing is not responsible for weak, failing, or pre-existing battery or electrical issues. Vehicle batteries that are near the end of their lifespan may fail to start following service due to normal power usage (e.g., interior lights, doors opened, electronics in standby mode).

By booking a service, the customer acknowledges that battery failure after service is not the responsibility of Hoch Auto Detailing, and any related towing, jump-starting, or repair costs remain the customer’s responsibility.

14. Gratuities

All tips and gratuities provided by customers go 100% directly to the detailer who performed the service. Hoch Auto Detailing does not withhold, pool, or deduct any portion of customer tips.

15. Personal Belongings Disclaimer
Hoch Auto Detailing is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen personal items left inside the vehicle. Customers are encouraged to remove valuables prior to service.

16. Weather & Environmental Conditions
Services may be delayed, rescheduled, or modified due to weather, temperature, or environmental conditions that affect service quality or safety. No guarantees are made when conditions are outside recommended operating ranges.

17. Service Refusal Rights
Hoch Auto Detailing reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service if vehicle conditions are unsafe, unsanitary, misrepresented, or materially different from what was disclosed during booking.

18. Odor Removal Limitations
Odor removal services aim to improve interior conditions but cannot guarantee complete elimination of all odors, especially those embedded in HVAC systems or insulation.

19. Appointment Readiness & Time Allocation

Appointments are scheduled for a specific time window. If a customer or service location is not ready at the scheduled start time, including but not limited to vehicle access delays, unavailable keys, lack of utilities, vehicle not cleared of personal items, or other conditions preventing work from beginning immediately, the delay time will count toward the total appointment time allotted.

Hoch Auto Detailing is not responsible for reduced service scope or results caused by delayed start times.

20. Photo & Video Documentation
Hoch Auto Detailing may take before-and-after photos or videos for documentation, quality control, and marketing purposes. Customer license plates and personal information will not be displayed without consent.

16. Water Spot Removal Limitations

Hoch Auto Detailing cannot guarantee complete removal of water spots. Water spot severity varies based on mineral content, etching depth, surface type, and length of exposure.

Our water spot removal services are designed to safely improve the appearance of affected areas. Some water spots may be reduced or removed, while others—especially etched or deeply bonded spots—may only partially improve or remain visible. By booking a water spot removal service, the customer acknowledges and accepts these limitations.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features of our Services, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Intellectual Property

All content provided on the Hoch Auto Detailing website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Hoch Auto Detailing or its licensors and is protected by copyright laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use our website for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any content without prior written consent from Hoch Auto Detailing.

5. User-Generated Content

If you submit any content, including reviews, comments, or feedback, you grant Hoch Auto Detailing a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, transferable, and sub-licensable right to use, display, modify, and distribute such content in any form. You are solely responsible for the content you post and agree not to submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes on the rights of others.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

  • Engage in any conduct that is harmful, fraudulent, or deceptive

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our Services

  • Use any robot, spider, or other automatic device to scrape, crawl, or gather content from our website

  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of our Services

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of these third-party sites. You access these sites at your own risk, and we encourage you to review their terms of service and privacy policies.

8. Termination

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Washington State, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding related to these Terms and Conditions shall be brought in the courts of Washington State.
